About geosophik
geosophik is a registered non-profit organisation working at the intersection of geospatial science, environmental research, and community knowledge. Founded in 2026 by a team of researchers and practitioners, we believe that better data leads to better decisions — for people, places, and the planet.
Where We Are
We are based in Tripoli, Peloponnese, Greece. Our work reaches across Greece and beyond, connecting communities with the tools and knowledge they need to understand and respond to the challenges shaping their landscapes.
What We Do
We use geospatial technology, Earth observation, and open data to tackle issues that matter to communities and environments:
- Protecting natural habitats and ecosystems
- Supporting sustainable land use and development
- Building resilience to climate change
- Strengthening agri-food systems through innovation
- Preserving cultural heritage and spatial memory
- Reversing the decline of rural communities
We work through research, data analysis, education, and collaboration. We develop open tools and datasets, produce accessible reports and training materials, and partner with local communities, researchers, and organisations to turn evidence into action.
